Udinese vs Juventus: Serie A Game Preview

The Serie A returns next weekend and Udinese faces a tough test when they host Juventus on Sunday. Let’s take a closer look at where the value is at in this matchup.

Udinese finished 14th in the Serie A standings with just 40 points in 38 games, losing four of their last five games. Improving their position is a must and Nahuel Molina resigning should help. Molina has extended his contract with Udinese until June 30, 2026 and after coming on leaps and bounds since joining them, the right-back is now recognized as one of the best full-backs in the world. Molina demonstrated this as a starter for the Argentina side that won the Copa America earlier this summer and that experience will prove to be valuable for Udinese.

Massimiliano Allegri, in his second tenure in charge of Juventus, has a lot of talent up front at his disposal but blending them together will be difficult. Regardless of how Allegri lines up, it can be a challenge to deploy his forwards in a manner that gets the best out of them. Between Dejan Kulusevski, Federico Chiesa, Alvaro Morata, Federico Bernardeschi, Juan Cuadrado, Kaio Jorge, Paulo Dybala and Cristiano Ronaldo, there’s a lot of firepower. Can these players go together? If Juventus is to have more success this year than last, Allegri has to make the best out of it. Hopefully he finds a way to produce the best results on the field and prevent younger players from stunting their development in unfamiliar positions.
