Bradley trumps Fleetwood to win Travelers Championship

Keegan Bradley delivered one of the most exciting finishes in recent PGA Tour memory, winning the 2025 Travelers Championship with a stunning comeback that sent shockwaves through the crowd at TPC River Highlands.

The Vermont native rallied from three shots behind with just four holes to play, ultimately birdieing the 18th to clinch a one-shot victory over Tommy Fleetwood and secure his eighth PGA Tour title.

Fleetwood, who is still seeking his first PGA Tour win, held a narrow lead going into the final round. But Bradley, buoyed by the chants of a passionate New England crowd, staged an unforgettable ally.

After a bogey on the 14th left him three strokes back, Bradley drained a 35-foot birdie on the 15th to close the gap. Fleetwood faltered on the par-3 16th, carding a bogey, and suddenly Bradley was just one shot behind.

The tension peaked on the 18th. Bradley’s approach landed just under six feet from the pin, while Fleetwood left himself a daunting 50-foot putt.

Fleetwood three-putted for bogey, opening the door. Bradley calmly rolled in his birdie putt, sending the crowd into a frenzy as chants of “U-S-A! U-S-A!” echoed across the course.

Reflecting on the moment, Bradley admitted, “It was really strange because I didn’t expect to have a putt to win. All of a sudden, I had a chance to win the tournament. I hadn’t led until that final putt. It’s really what dreams are made of”.

Bradley’s final round 68 left him at 15-under 265, earning $3.6 million and moving him to No. 7 in the world rankings. The win also reignited speculation about whether Bradley might become the first playing captain at the Ryder Cup since Arnold Palmer in 1963. “This definitely changes things a little bit, and we’ll all get together and figure out the best way to do this,” Bradley said.

Fleetwood, gracious in defeat, said, “The search goes on. When it happens, it’ll be very sweet”.
