Johnson’s Triple-Double Headlines Hawks’ Win; Booker, Barnes Power Teams to Victories

Jalen Johnson turned in a spectacular all-around display as the Atlanta Hawks extended their winning streak to four games with a 132-122 triumph over the Utah Jazz. The 22-year-old forward recorded his third career triple-double, finishing with 31 points, 18 rebounds, and 14 assists while also collecting seven steals — all personal bests in points and assists.

Playing without star guard Trae Young, the Hawks showed no signs of slowing down offensively. They set a franchise record by sinking 15 three-pointers in the first half alone, connecting on 60 percent of their attempts from deep before the break.

Vit Krejci was flawless in the opening half, drilling all five of his three-point shots, and later added another to close with 20 points. Onyeka Okongwu delivered a career night of his own, hitting eight of 14 from long range to score a personal-best 32 points.

Despite a strong individual effort from Lauri Markkanen, who posted 40 points on 15-for-25 shooting, Utah once again failed to string together consecutive wins. Rookie Ace Bailey added a career-high 21 points, while Keyonte George scored 19, but defensive lapses and Atlanta’s hot shooting proved too much to overcome.

In Phoenix, the Suns continued their dominant run, routing the Indiana Pacers 133-98 for their fifth straight victory. Devin Booker led the charge with 33 points, seven assists, and five rebounds, while Dillon Brooks poured in 32 on 12-of-18 shooting. The Suns held a comfortable lead most of the night, and after the Pacers cut the margin to ten early in the third quarter, Booker spearheaded a decisive 16-0 run that sealed the result.

Oso Ighodaro provided key support off the bench with 17 points, seven rebounds, and three blocks, underscoring Phoenix’s depth. Indiana, plagued by injuries, has now dropped six straight games following their Eastern Conference title run last season.

In Toronto, Scottie Barnes powered the Raptors past the Cleveland Cavaliers 118-109 with a near triple-double — 28 points, 10 rebounds, eight assists, and five blocks. Immanuel Quickley added 25 points, shooting a scorching 5-for-7 from three-point range, as the Raptors notched their sixth win in seven outings. Jakob Poeltl also contributed 20 points and seven rebounds on efficient shooting.

Donovan Mitchell’s 31-point return wasn’t enough for Cleveland, who struggled without Darius Garland and Lonzo Ball. The Cavaliers found little defensive rhythm against Toronto’s sharp 56 percent shooting night.

Across the league, milestone performances and record-setting shooting nights continue to electrify fans, signaling a season defined by breakout stars and resurgent contenders.
