The 2025 Ballon d’Or winner, Ousmane Dembélé, presented the award to his teammates and staff at the club’s training ground on Tuesday.
The French attacker presented it when he visited the PSG training ground, having missed the opportunity due to the rescheduling of the La Classique, which they lost to Olympique Marseille.
The Frenchman was present at the prestigious trophy on Monday night at the Théâtre du Châtelet to see him win the prestigious trophy.
Speaking at the occasion, Pacho said his teammates are all happy for him and for the club, noting that there are a lot of PSG players who have been nominated.
The injured João Neves and Désiré Doué accompanied their president Nasser al-Khelaïfi to he event because PSG were playing Marseille at the same time at the Stade Vélodrome. The closing week 5 clash was postponed by 24 hours due to thunderstorms in the southeast of France on Sunday evening.
Meanwhile, the emergence of Dembélé as the Ballon d’Or winner also sparked mixed reactions among fans.
He beat Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal to the title. The 18-year-old, who also won the Kopa trophy for the second time, congratulated his former teammates on his success.
Dembélé had an excellent year both individually and collectively. He scored 35 goals and recorded 16 assists across all competitions.
He also led Paris Saint-Germain to their first UEFA Champions League title, whilst in that time, Les Parisiens also won Ligue 1, the Coupe de France, the Trophée des Champions, and the UEFA Super Cup. The French giant also emerged as runners-up in the FIFA Club World Cup, after losing to Chelsea.
Some of the teammates who were in the top ten include Vitinha (3rd) and Achraf Hakimi (6th).
In his reaction, Barcelona manager Hansi Flick believes this will motivate Yamal for the future.
The Barcelona youngster is among the favourites to win this year’s trophy. From the look of things, the future is bright for the 18-year-old who led Barcelona to the semifinals of the Champions League last season before losing out to finalist Inter Milan.
