Barcelona manager Hansi Flick has been named La Liga Coach of the Year after guiding the Catalan giants to a second consecutive league title during the 2025-26 season.
The German tactician earned the award following an outstanding domestic campaign that saw Barcelona finish comfortably at the top of the table and continue their dominance in Spanish football.
La Liga confirmed Flick as the winner of the prestigious honour on Wednesday, with the Barcelona boss finishing ahead of Getafe manager José Bordalás and Villarreal coach Marcelino in the voting.
Under Flick’s leadership, Barcelona accumulated 94 points from 38 matches, scoring 95 goals while suffering only six defeats throughout the season.
The champions also achieved a remarkable milestone at home, becoming the first club in the 38-game La Liga era to win all 19 of their home fixtures in a single season.
Barcelona’s consistency and attacking football were key features of their title-winning campaign, with Flick successfully implementing his tactical philosophy across the squad.
Barcelona’s impressive form extended beyond domestic competition. Across all tournaments, Flick’s side recorded 44 victories, three draws, and 10 defeats in 57 matches.
However, despite their success in Spain, the club once again fell short of its main European objective after being eliminated in the Champions League quarter-finals by Atletico Madrid.
Flick’s achievements were further highlighted by the struggles of rivals Real Madrid.
While Barcelona enjoyed stability and success, Madrid endured a difficult season marked by internal problems and disappointing performances.
The club finished the campaign without a trophy after managerial changes and ongoing dressing-room tensions disrupted their progress.
With another league title secured, Barcelona will now turn their attention toward achieving success on the European stage.
Flick and his players are expected to take a short break before preparations begin for the new season, where winning the Champions League is likely to be the club’s primary target as they seek to build on their domestic dominance.
