Davies injury setback raise concerns as Bayern remain cautious

Alphonso Davies’ latest injury setback has sparked significant concern at Bayern Munich, as the German champions remain cautious about his recovery timeline and the risks of rushing him back into action.

Club officials would reportedly prefer that he sit out the tournament entirely to ensure complete healing and avoid long-term complications. 

However, such a decision appears highly unlikely. Davies serves as Canada’s captain and is eager to seize the rare opportunity of competing in a World Cup hosted in home territory, an event that carries immense personal and national significance.

In contrast, Canadian officials are reportedly optimistic about a shorter recovery window of four to five weeks. 

In the best-case scenario, this could allow him to feature in the tournament, though it would involve a more aggressive rehabilitation approach. 

Bayern, however, is deeply wary of this accelerated timeline, recognizing that a rushed return significantly heightens the risk of further injury, a scenario the club is determined to prevent after Davies’ previous setbacks.
