Manchester City enmeshed in a busy transfer period

Manchester City is already having a busy summer transfer window as the club, but rather than bringing in new legs to boost a squad that is already aiming for a fifth consecutive Premier League title; the club seems destined to lose more players.

Pep Guardiola’s team are already hoping to convince Argentinian forward Julian Alvarez to stay at the Etihad Stadium as they player continues to demand an exit for more playing time elsewhere.

French club PSG is one of the clubs who are monitoring the situation with the 24-year-old who won the Copa America with the Argentinian national team on Sunday after a 1-0 win over Colombia in extra time in the USA.

However, beyond him, Manchester City are about to lose goalkeeper Ederson to a Saudi Arabia deal from Al Nassr. Al Nassr’s initial proposal to Man City for Ederson was worth €30m package.

However, it is reported that Man City won’t accept the fee, as it doesn’t meet their valuation as they want more than €50m before they can let Ederson leave despite the fact that the Brazilian GK has already agreed to move to the Saudi Pro League.

He is not the only Manchester City player who has been linked with a move to a Saudi Arabian club. Kevin de Bruyne is also being monitored by several Saudi Arabian clubs, but the Belgium midfielder is keen on staying at the club.

Over the weekend, before the Euro 2024 final between Spain and England, it was widely reported that Manchester City was ready to pay the buyout clause of Spanish Midfielder Dani Olmo, who plays for RB Leipzig.

Meanwhile, officials of Manchester City have widely denied those claims that Manchester City are in talks to sign the player who scored three goals and two assists for Spain on their way to their fourth UEFA European Championship title in history.
