Marseille forward Bamba Dieng reveals Mane’s love for his club and how he would like the Liverpool star to join him

 

Marseille forward Bamba Dieng reveals how Liverpool star Sadio Mane has told his wish to join him at the French club later in future. The 21-year-old youngster won the Africa Cup of Nations while plying his trade for Senegal alongside Mane.

The youngster admitted that Mane wants to join the youngster at Marseille in the near future. Dieng lavishes praise on his experienced compatriot as he highlights the traits of the Liverpool star.

“He’s an exceptional player. Sadio is someone who works hard in training and you can see it in his games. He’s also someone who gives us a lot of tips. In training, on penalties, he calls me, gives me ideas. He wants us to go forward, to progress,” Dieng told Radio Maritima and translated by Le10 Sport.

Mane before joining Salzburg featured for Metz in France and has a soft corner for the Ligue 1. Dieng revealed how Mane loves Marseille and watches most of the matches and has shared his desire to play for the club.

“He also loves OM a lot. He told me he watches all the OM games. As soon as we arrive in the national team, he’s happy, he speaks about Marseille. I’d like for him to join us and play here one day,” he added.

Mane is a vital player for Jurgen Klopp and it is difficult to see him leave Anfield and join French outfit Marseille. Also, he is 29-year-old and will stick around for a few more years. So Dieng’s comment looks a little unrealistic.

He has been one of the most influential players for Jurgen Klopp for the last few seasons as he guided Liverpool to Champions League glory and then he spearheaded Senegal to their maiden African Cup of Nations title.

Liverpool recently defeated West Ham United 1-0 and Klopp praised his Senegalese forward for yet another exceptional performance for the Reds. The German tactician credited Mane and felt that he is very difficult to defend against.

“I saw a lot of top individual performances, Sadio Mane was one of them. He is really difficult to defend against, but in the end we did not make as much of the situations as we could have.”

Liverpool are only behind Manchester City in the Premier League points table. The Reds are six points behind the Cityzens but they have a game in hand. Mane has netted 12 goals in 24 appearances in the Premier League till now.
