Robert Lewandowski makes his intentions clear as he clearly draws an end to his Bayern Munich era

Star forward Robert Lewandowski is on the verge of leaving Bayern Munich as he gets closer to FC Barcelona every passing day. The Spanish giants are apparently suffering from financial difficulties but have shown great interest in the Polish superstar. The desire to join Barcelona and play in La Liga has always been a dream for Lewandowski for the last few years.

Lewandowski has been on a roll for the Bavarians in the last few years as he led the charge at the Allianz Arena and have also helped the club win multiple trophies during his term for the German record champions.

During a press conference with his Polish national team, Lewandowski shared his current stance with Bayern. He said, “It’s a big question if I’m optimistic about my move to Barça. I don’t like being in this situation. What is certain at the moment is that my era at Bayern is over. I don’t see any chance of continuing my career at this club.”

The prolific goalscorer shared how he does not see his future at Germany and more so at Bayern Munich anymore. He is heavily linked with Barcelona as Xavi seeks for a proper striker upfront and Lewandowski joining the Catalans will be huge for Barcelona and La lIga as a whole.

Bayern have two options, one is  to sell the Polish superstar this summer or keep him at the club for another season and then let him leave for free.

Let’s see what we can do in the next two weeks, I don’t want to continue and I would like to focus on Poland. After the Nations League we will have time to talk about the situation, but I don’t see any possibility of continuing at Bayern anymore,” Lewandowski added during the press conference.

The experienced striker has spent eight seasons at Bayern Munich and has netted 344 goals in 374 games and has been an absolute club icon for the Bavarians. But it looks like his era at the German outfit is coming to an end.

Despite the strong links, Xavi feels it will be difficult for them to lure away Lewandowski as he has a one year contract with the German club. Financial difficulties are a major concern for the Catalans and that can be the only factor driving them away from the Polish forward.
